It all began with Franz and Maria, who came to love and cherish each other early on. Between 1970 and 1980, their five sons were born: Franz, the eldest; Georg, Harald, and Andreas, the middle ones; and Martin, the youngest of the bunch. They kept their mother, Maria, who also ran the farm in Krumbach, constantly on her toes!
Thanks to the business acumen of their father Franz, a political veteran, and the big heart of their mother Maria, the rock of the family, they have now grown into successful men.
Full steam ahead!
With their family as a strong foundation, the sons were able to flourish. In addition to Franz, Martin, and Andreas, who are dedicated to renewable energy through their BLOCH3 group of companies, their brothers are also very successful in their own businesses.
Harald runs a freight forwarding company and works in the field of waste processing. And Georg wrote his own success story by taking over the family farm in Krumbach and founding the “Eis-Greissler.”
And who is Lothar?
It was in the fall of 1999 when a storm named “Lothar” swept through Northern Moravia, tearing off roofs and uprooting trees. An unbridled force with far-reaching consequences: that was the birth of what is now the company “BLOCH3.” A storm that became a historic event for Franz Blochberger. “Lothar” permanently changed his perspective—indeed, his entire life.
And what would Franz be without his two brothers? Because it’s only half as good on your own, his two brothers, Martin and Andreas, followed him into the company. A trio fully committed to sustainability, the protection of nature, and independence from fossil fuels. A family business that never tires of tinkering and innovating to make tomorrow’s world a little better today.
Values that stand the test of time.
In 2001, Franz Blochberger founded the VENTUREAL Group and has been committed to harnessing alternative energy sources ever since. By 2024, the company had grown even closer as a family under its new name, BLOCH3, while remaining true to the core values that have guided the Blochberger family from the very beginning: honesty, solidarity, respect, trust, and fairness.
