With our operational wind turbines, we generate around 230,000 megawatt-hours of electricity, supplying more than 66,000 households. As a result, we save 102,000 tonnes of CO₂ every year. That’s roughly equivalent to the annual CO₂ emissions of 54,000 passenger cars — all powered by the force of the wind.

We developed our first wind farms in Austria and the Czech Republic, followed by further projects in Romania and Bulgaria. Since 2010, we have focused on our home market of Austria, supplying it with renewable energy. With great success, thanks to our long-standing partnerships with landowners and local communities.
But we are not stopping there. In the coming years, we will bring several more wind farms into operation, helping Austria move towards greater energy independence. The road to climate neutrality is still a long one, but every wind turbine we bring into operation is a step in the right direction.
Rome wasn't built in a day.
Seeing how majestically the wind turbines turn and stand against the landscape, one might think it’s relatively easy to obtain a permit for a wind farm and build it. But it’s a long road before construction can begin. The municipality, residents, landowners, experts, partners, the state government, and politicians—everyone must work together so that the project can actually be implemented. As a result, it can take up to 10 years before the first shovel hits the ground.

We view our own brand, “Heimwatt,” as a social project—not only because of its affordable electricity rates, but also because of its responsible use of local resources. This is our response to high inflation. Wherever we build wind turbines in the future, we’ll offer local residents affordable electricity directly from their region. Our goal is to sustainably improve the energy supply and provide real financial relief to people in these communities.
